Parking, Traffic and Shuttle Information

As usual (except for last year) traffic is anticipated to be heavy and Hollywood Police may limit access to the beach and direct traffic elsewhere. In the past years, bridges would close as the beach fills to capacity. If you do plan on driving see road closure information below. Plan to come early and avoid any issues. You are also encouraged to use the FREE shuttle buses which depart from both of the City’s two downtown parking garage locations (standard parking rates will apply in the garage if you park there). Shuttles will take spectators directly to Johnson Street on the Beach. The shuttle pick up locations are:

Radius Garage
251 N 19th Avenue

Van Buren Garage
251 S 20th Avenue

The free shuttles will begin at 2:00 p.m. through 10:30 p.m. The last shuttles will leave from Downtown Hollywood for the beach at 8:00 p.m. Returning shuttles will run from the beach to downtown starting at 9:30 p.m. after the fireworks display until 10:30 p.m. Masks are mandatory to ride on any shuttles.

Other options to get to the beach for the party…

Sun Shuttle
The Sun Shuttle, operated by Circuit is an environmentally-friendly, electric public transportation option that transports riders through service areas from City Hall Circle to downtown Hollywood, Hollywood Beach and along Federal Highway. An App requested ride is $1.00 per fare. A flag down ride is free. Flag down riders can and hop on and off along the route the driver is already going for the paid App requested ride. The Sun Shuttle will be operating from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 4th. Download the free “Ride Circuit” App from the App Store or Google Play.
I would suggest brining your mask on this just in case it is needed and knowing how busy the beach is on this day, it may be difficult to get the shuttle (have a plan B).
Ride Share
Uber and Lyft drivers may drop-off and pick-up passengers at the designated ride share spot on Tyler Street between A1A and Surf Road.
