South Florida DJs Love Japan.
Sunday, April 17. 1:00pm to 11:30pm
North Hollywood Beach Park. A1A just north of Sheridan Street, Hollywood, FL.
Over the last month, there have been significant displays of international support for Japan, not the least of which have come from the electronic dance music community.
Red Dot Relief, for instance, is a charitable effort spearheaded by DJ-producers Jay Haze and Seth Troxler of Visionquest in collaboration with the Crosstown Rebels label and other figures from the international EDM scene.
And now members of South Florida’s EDM community have also come through with support for Japan by organizing a benefit show, South Florida DJs Love Japan, to take place this Sunday. It will showcase a variety of local DJs playing everything from house to drum ‘n’ bass. The full lineup includes DJs Basti, Chica Plastika, Countess Cucha, Deep Therapy, Hardline, Jon Mateu, Mario Liberti, Michelle Stevens, Robert Blackbox, and Transoverlord.
The show is taking place at North Hollywood Beach Park. And while admission is free, organizers are requesting donations through their Crowdrise page or directly through the American Red Cross.
